Entry requirements
Undergraduate
- HSC with GPA 3.5+ (4.5+ for MBBS and top universities)
- English-taught programmes: IELTS 6.0 or university English assessment; many accept Medium of Instruction certificates
- Chinese-taught programmes require HSK Level 4+
- Passport, police clearance and medical examination form
Postgraduate
- Bachelor's degree with strong CGPA (3.0+ for scholarship consideration)
- IELTS 6.0–6.5 for English-medium programmes, or HSK 5 for Chinese-medium
- Research proposal and two recommendation letters for CSC applications
- Acceptance letter from a supervising professor strengthens scholarship bids
Work rights & post-study options
Student visa holders may take part-time work or internships only with approval from their university and the local authorities, so budget without relying on earnings. Post-study, graduates can convert to a work (Z) visa with a qualifying job offer, and Chinese-linked employers in Bangladesh actively recruit returning graduates.

How do I get a fully-funded CSC scholarship from Bangladesh?
Apply early — CSC applications open around November and close between January and April depending on the route. A strong CGPA, a focused research proposal and, for postgraduates, a professor's acceptance letter make the biggest difference, and we guide students through both the embassy and university application tracks.
Is a Chinese MBBS degree valid in Bangladesh?
Yes, provided you study at a university approved for English-medium MBBS and later pass the BMDC registration examination in Bangladesh. We only place students at institutions on the recognised list, and we brief every family on the BMDC pathway before admission.
Do I need to learn Chinese for an English-medium programme?
Your classes will be in English, but most universities include mandatory basic Chinese modules — and daily life outside campus runs largely in Mandarin. Students who embrace the language find internships and post-study opportunities open up dramatically.
What does the Chinese student (X1) visa process involve?
After receiving your admission letter and JW201/JW202 form, you apply through the Chinese Visa Application Centre in Dhaka with your passport, photos, medical examination record and police clearance. Processing usually takes one to two weeks, making China one of the fastest visas among our destinations.
